Name: Spiderbite
Gender: she-cat
Age: 38
Rank: Deputy (is that okay?? I didn't see anything that said I couldn't...)
Clan: ThunderClan
Peltage: Spiderbite can be described as beautiful, but she doesn't like being called attractive. She thinks that if someone calls her that, they are either being sexist or they are trying to butter her up. Though no cat can be blamed: That long, black fur can entrance anyone. It covers her entire body with its silky darkness, making it easier for her to hunt. The only deviation is her eyes, which glow with a yellow fire that she fancies will strike fear into her foes' hearts. She's littler than most she-cats, but don't judge her by it.

Personality: Spiderbite may seem like a vulnerable little she-cat, but that is far from accurate. Within her Clan, she can and will be gentle, but when it comes to protecting ThunderClan, she will put her life on the line to protect others. Not that any cat should take that lightly. Spiderbite is lethal in battle, and uses her size against anyone who offends her or her Clan. Her temper can sometimes be dangerous, because she is very proud. Insults and such can light that flame, so be careful around her. Within her Clan, however, Spiderbite can be a gentle and loving cat. She often tells kits stories when she has the time to, and training apprentices is in her mind a treat and a privelage. In short, get on her good side and she will be the best friend a cat can have, but get on her bad side, and you won't live much longer.
History: Blackkit was born in the dead of leafbare, along with two stillborn brothers. Her parents, Yewslash and Treeleaf, were as caring as parents could be; even more so because she was the only kit, and she was so small. They thought that she wouldn't survive the ordeals of the weather. Little did they know what a warrior they were rearing. Since the time she could open her eyes, Blackkit explored the nursery and the camp, much to the vexation of her dam, with a bravery and excitement she would retain for life. She was eager to become an apprentice, and soon had her wish.
She became Spiderpaw at 6 moons, mentored to Eaglestar, her leader. Eaglestar taught Spiderpaw everything he knew, and the little apprentice soaked it in as moss does with rainwater. She copied his maneuvers perfectly, with a bit of practise, and soon had other apprentices envying her skill and ability to learn quickly. Because of this, Spiderpaw didn't have any friends, and turned to her mentor for companionship and support.
During a hunting patrol with Eaglestar and a group of warriors, a badger set was found with an angry resident inside. They scuffled with the badger, but it was Spiderpaw who saved the day. She silently climbed a tree as her leader had instructed her to do as a safety measure, but felt the need to help. When the badger wasn't looking, she leapt onto his back from her branch and slashed fearlessly at its eyes, blinding it. Throwing Spiderpaw off, it lumbered away, bellowing in pain. Spiderpaw was exalted by StormClan that night.
The antics earned the apprentice punishment, but as soon as the ticks were cleaned from the elders' pelts, Spiderpaw was given her warrior name, Spiderbite. It symbolized the fact that, although little and black like a spider, she could administer a good amount of fighting.
Spiderbite had already befriended Eaglestar, but as she grew older their relationship grew into something more. Spiderbite soon entered the nursery with a pregnant belly. The Clan approved; Spiderbite would be an excellent mother, and then return to her duties. Unfortunately, Spiderbite's only kit was stillborn, and she had to return to warriorship early. The event left her devastated as only a mother can be.
The sadness was not over. Eaglestar was struck by a Twoleg monster on the Thunderpath and lost his ninth life. The deputy, Freeheart, became Freestar. She named Spiderbite deputy, though, which was a small consolation for her two losses. The new deputy soon learned to hide these feelings within her heart so she could carry on with her duties.
IC: Spiderbite gave an angry hiss. This tom was getting on her nerves. Tail lashing, her golden eyes followed the brown tabby's every pawstep. He was larger than her by a long shot; larger than even a normal warrior. The scars on his face were ugly, she noted, as they knotted around his eyes and sliced his nose in three sections. She didn't recognize him from any of the Gatherings, but by scent Spiderbite knew that he came from ShadowClan. None but those cats would smell so much like a swamp. "So, beautiful, are you going to fight, or just stare at me? I'm fine with staring at you." The comment was meant to provoke her, and it sure did. Toms who ever thought she was just some pretty face would pay the price.
She leapt forward with speed that the tom didn't expect, or so Spiderbite thought by the look on his torn face. Claws extended and eyes flaming angrily, she added another slash to his face. The blow stunned him long enough for the black she-cat to pounce on his back and dig her teeth into his shoulder.
He flipped over, hoping to pin Spiderbite beneath him. But she was ready, and with amazing agility slipped out from under him easier than if she were water. Attacking his stomach, she clawed his throat and chest while shoveling madly with her hind paws.
This was enough for the ShadowClan tom. He yowled and shoved her off; and dashed through the trees.
The adrenaline still pounded through Spiderbite's veins, and she stood there for a while, panting with an odd fire in her yellow eyes. Finally, with a sigh of relief, she began to lick her wounds.
